Woman's $180 iPad turns out to be block of wood: (The Associated Press) There probably isn't an app for this.A Spartanburg woman told deputies that the iPad she bought from two men in a McDonald's restaurant parking lot turned out to be a block of wood painted black with an Apple logo.

Bank of America could be only ATM at airport: (By Steve Harrison, sharrison@charlotteobserver.com) To get cash at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, you soon might need a Bank of America ATM card - or pay a fee.Aviation Director Jerry Orr said a proposed deal would give the Charlotte-based bank all the ATMs at the airport. In return, the airport would get at least $1.3 million a year from Bank of America, about five times as much as the airport makes under its current arrangement, which gives ATM space to four banks.

The jury of seven men and five women found McFadden not guilty of first-degree kidnapping."
