Guilty verdict in rape of 83-year-old woman: "(By Gary L. Wright, gwright@charlotteobserver.com) A Mecklenburg County jury on Thursday found 18-year-old Robert McFadden guilty of raping an 83-year-old woman in May 2010.
After deliberating about 90 minutes, the jury returned a guilty verdict against McFadden on charges of second-degree rape and of breaking and entering. The jury of seven men and five women found McFadden not guilty of first-degree kidnapping."
