Police car strikes pedestrian in west Charlotte: "(By David Perlmutt, dperlmutt@charlotteobserver.com) A woman crossing Little Rock Road this morning was struck by a marked Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police cruiser driven by a CMPD sergeant, police said.
The sergeant, police said, was on his way to work when his car hit the woman just before 5 a.m. in the 3000 block of Little Rock. He wasn't responding to a call, and his cruiser lights weren't on."
